tonight. >> it was a day like none other. two huge games on the same day, being played at the same time. many fans headed out to sports bars today to watch both games. the skins took on the undefeated falcons and nationals playing in their first postseason game in decades. >> absolutely red all the way through. if i could do red, burgandy and gold, it would be it. >> it was a difficult decision trying to decide whether to wear the national's jersey or redskins. i figured national's first playoff game, had to go with them. >> reporter: story of the day turned out to be robert griffin iii, when he left the game with a mild concussion. take a look. they lost at home to the falcons 17-24. nationals won in st. louis beating the cardinals 3-2. fox5's sports director scott smith will have all the highlights and tell us where

things stand for rg3 coming up in the nissan sports xtra segment. fairfax county police found a dead early this morning. the investigators believe the 30-year-old knew the person who killed him. police called his injuries trauma to the upper body. a medical examiner will make a specific ruling how he died. we're monitoring metro on the eve of controversial issue becoming a reality. tomorrow the posters you see here will go up in four metro stations. a blogger sued for and won the right to put them up in new york and now in the district. metro tried to block the posters saying it got what it called verifiable threats. but the court ruled in gellar's favor. >> i believe it might be going up in the d.c. area, other countries will look at the united states and be like, why

thanks for staying up. i'm scott smith. a live report from st. louis as the nats win game one in spectacular fashion. first, we start closer to home, and perhaps a little too close for comfort. september18, 2011, that was the last time the skins won at fed ex field. rg3, coming off his best performance as a pro last week in tampa. the falcons trying to send a message early to the young gun. on the blitz, crushed. robinson delivers the blow. griffin shakes it off, gets back up.
